Steve's Guitars and the Town of Carbondale are pleased to announce that tickets for their annual Music & Lobster Fest are now on sale. This popular local event will be held on June 22nd and June 23rd in historic Carbondale.
This is the sixth year of presenting local musicians at venues all over town. Come join us in celebrating with some of the valley's best musicians in 11 venues starting at 5pm on Friday Night and continuing all day Saturday into the wee hours of Sunday. We will have over 100 musicians entertaining us during that time.
You will find talented local musicians at: the Town Plaza Main Stage at 4th & Main Street; Steve's Guitars; the NEXT Stage; Dos Gringos; the Village Smithy; The Granna Cafe; Black Nugget; The Lift; Phat Thai; White House Pizza and Peppinos Pizza.
Last year, we sold 1,000 fresh, Maine lobster dinners with a drink, and had a great time doing so. Carbondale will be the live and local musical capitol of the valley for this weekend. Great food and amazing live music will be provided by your own friends and neighbors.
There will also be kid games and a fun run on Saturday morning to help the CRMS Pre-School. Something for everyone for this fun-packed weekend.
You can buy your tickets now at venues all over the valley. Remember that the last two years were sold-out, so be one of the lucky ones to get a dinner ticket. Or, come and enjoy all of the free live music in town and go out to eat at one of our wonderful restaurants. What fun.
Tickets for a 1-1 1/2 pound lobster flown in fresh from Maine with sides and a free beverage can be purchased for $30. Profits from the lobster dinner go to support the Joy Foundation and cover event expenses. It's a great party that supports our local musical community and several other worthy causes.

To All Our Fans and Supporters:
We have some very good news for all of you who love live music at Steve's Guitars. Since our first public appeal for help last Spring, we have worked hard to make our unique music-listening room a business that can flourish in this great town. Our efforts have been successful and we now feel brave enough to sign a long-term lease with our Aspen-based landlords.
This is a big step in keeping live music coming to historic, downtown Carbondale and wonderful news to us. We wouldn't have made this commitment without the love and support you have given us, especially over the past year.
Since last Spring, our shop has been used nearly 150 times for live music, non-profit meetings, local fundraisers, comedy, conferences, healing courses, birthday parties, band rehearsals and more. It is a great space for live music and is also proving to be a perfect spot for many other community events that we love to support. Like tomorrow, when KDNK will present a live broadcast during the afternoon as part of their latest membership drive. Tune in at 3pm to hear Euforchestra playing live for our wonderful local radio station.
We plan to continue presenting musicians from all over the valley and all points beyond. The agents have found us and we are booking great acts from all over the country and, even, other countries. We love the Dinkel Building as it provides a direct link to the "Old Western" days of the 1890's in Carbondale. Presenting live music in the old bank with its ancient vault right behind the stage gives a special touch to our shows. The high ceilings and thick walls make for incredible acoustics that are enjoyed by both musicians and the audience.
It has always been a pleasure hearing live music in our listening room and we look forward to continuing doing so. We are very pleased that our first public appeal for help received a strong response from the community. Our shop is important to many of you for a wide variety of reasons and it's true that it does take "a village" to keep it going. We thank everyone who has helped keep our musical adventure alive and thriving.
We are happy to say that no other public appeals for help are anticipated. You can stop worrying about our future survival and just come out and enjoy the shows with us. That feels good to say and we hope it is good news for everyone who has enjoyed our store.
Presenting musicians in a great venue where "the music" is the top priority can be very challenging to sustain in our rapidly changing valley. With your support, Steve's Guitars can continue to provide live music for all our friends and fans in the best music-listening room around. See you at the next show.
